On Wednesday 12 May we flew over to Italy with our residents at The Old Downs Residential Care Home!
As part of Around the World with Nellsar Cruises, our residents throughly enjoyed their morning creating Italian-themed arts and crafts.
For lunch we served homemade bolognese and chicken, with cheese, herbs garlic and fresh slices of tomato. To sweeten things up, there was tiramisu and cream for dessert. Delicious!
Pizza making
In the afternoon we made pizzas from scratch, with a variety of toppings including salami, mushrooms, ham, mozzarella, onions, fresh tomato and cheese slices.
Once cooked, our residents enjoyed them with white or rosé wine, and music from Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti.
