We celebrated a ‘Taste of Italy Day’ here on Tuesday 22 September at The Old Downs Residential Care Home.
Our ladies and gents joined in for Italian-themed arts and crafts; we made pasta necklaces in Italian flag colours – red, white and green.
We enjoyed listening to Italian music and for lunch our residents enjoyed a traditional lasagne, followed by a tasty tiramisu for dessert.
In the afternoon we put on a spread of lovely Italian cheeses and wine for tasting and everyone had a great time sampling all the different delicious flavours.
