Last week we had a ‘Christmas Around the World’ event at The Old Downs Residential Care Home.
Our residents enjoyed baking Christmas cookies from the Netherlands, making Christmas decorations from the Philippines and eating Christmas cake from Italy! What larks!
They also coloured in Christmas posters illustrating different countries including France, Australia and Russia.
It was so interesting to try these festive traditions from different cultures – and who doesn’t love Christmas cookies and cake?!
