Employee of the Month
The start of a new month means it’s time to celebrate another incredible member of our team here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home. For November, we were thrilled to recognise our dedicated Healthcare Assistant, Teresa, as our well-deserving Employee of the Month.
Teresa has given many years of hard work and compassion to our Home, and this recognition was truly special. She was presented with a personalised letter featuring quotes from her nomination cards, a certificate of achievement, chocolates, a bottle of rosé and some beautiful flowers. She was genuinely touched by the gesture, so much so that it brought her to happy tears!

St Andrew’s Day
We also ended November with a creative and cheerful celebration for St Andrew’s Day. Our residents got into the spirit of the day by colouring Scottish-themed posters and making their own flag bunting to decorate our Home.
To round off the celebration, everyone enjoyed a cosy afternoon tea – complete with plenty of delicious shortbread biscuits, of course!
