Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve at The Old Downs Residential Care Home, Connie, the lovely goddaughter of Dee from our Recreation and Well-Being Team, came in to see our residents for the day, as she likes to do something meaningful each year over the festive season.
Our ladies and gents really enjoyed the day, celebrating Christingle and making Christingles out of oranges, cloves and candles, tied with red ribbons.
After lunch we sat in the lounge, sang Christmas carols and enjoyed a little reading about Christingle as we lit our decorations.
Christmas Day
On Christmas Day we had a visit from Santa who delivered presents to all of our residents whilst they enjoyed a glass Buck’s Fizz.
Later they celebrated with a delicious three course Christmas meal.
What a wonderful day!
