With the leaves beginning to fall and the autumn breeze in the air, it’s felt like the perfect time to start our seasonal crafts here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home. Our talented residents got creative by painting beautiful autumn trees. Using rich shades of brown, green, and orange paint, they transformed simple cards into eye-catching works of art.
We are always looking for ways to keep our crafting sessions sustainable too – for this activity, we reused old card from a previous project, adding brushstrokes of brown for trunks and branches before layering on lighter tones to create colourful autumn leaves.
The finished pieces look fantastic and now sit proudly on our mantelpieces, bringing a touch of seasonal charm into our Home. Well done to all our artists!
