Here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home, we have introduced a new scheme for our team –Employee of the month. We truly value our team members deeply and are grateful every day for all their dedication, positivity and love they spread. We want to give everyone a chance to get involved so the votes are open to team members, families and visitors; we set up a little box in our foyer area with nomination cards.
At the end of the month, we counted the votes and the winner for the month of August was our Senior Health Care Assistant, Sarah. Sarah was voted for her dedication, her leadership skills, and her ability to go the extra mile for anyone. The whole team gathered to see Sarah receive her certificate, flowers, chocolate, and wine! Sarah was in disbelief when her name was called.
Not only do we celebrate the winner but the nominees; all the nominees were mentioned and everyone received lovely feedback and a letter of appraisal. Our Home is a complete team effort, and we celebrate the whole team that makes The Old Downs a home from home every day.
