Residents here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home enjoyed making Christmas cards on Sunday 15 December using appliqué Christmas trees, reindeers, stockings and stars. They look absolutely wonderful!
We also joined our lovely resident George in celebrating his 65th wedding anniversary on Wednesday 18 December with his wife Joan. They enjoyed a special lunch and celebration cake made by our Chef Angie.
On Thursday 19 December, our residents joined in for bake and taste when one of our relatives came to help to decorate a Christmas cake with them. With perfectly rolled white icing and beautifully cut-out Christmas trees and holly, it looks good enough to eat!
There was some stiff cake completion this week with Chef Anita’s Christmas cake; With edible snowflakes, a decorated Christmas tree and Robin red breasts wearing hats – it looks irresistible!
