On Tuesday 20 April a group of our residents from The Old Downs Residential Care Home joined in for our gardening club.
We planted sunflower seeds, cornflour seeds and various plants, with everyone enjoying getting ‘hands on’. Many of the seeds are for ‘butterfly attracting’ flowers, so we hope we’ll encourage lots of butterflies into our garden during the summer months.
Once the work was done, our residents enjoyed well-earned tea and cakes in the garden.
As Jean said, “You can’t beat fresh air!”
