We’ve been getting creative recently here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home, as our residents have made displays for Bonfire Night and Remembrance.
Remember, remember the 5th November!
Bonfires and fireworks may have been off the cards this year, but that didn’t stop our residents from creating their own Guy, complete with a suit, shirt, hat and curly black hair!
Luckily for him, he was spared the bonfire this year and instead enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, seated in our TV room! Such a smily chap!
Remembrance activities
Our ladies and gents enjoyed making large poppies to decorate our Home in preparation for Remembrance Sunday.
A few of our residents also threw on their coats and face masks to stroll down the road to our local War Memorial. There, we enjoyed the beautiful poppies and the restful environment before taking a brisk stroll back to our Home via the scenic route.
