Our kitchen helpers
On Wednesday 20 October, a group of our residents joined in to celebrate International Chefs Day here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home.
Our ladies enjoyed helping our kitchen staff by preparing their own salads using fresh vegetables, herbs, olive oil and feta cheese – yummy!
They made tomato and basil salad, Greek salad and a lovely fresh cucumber salad.
Jean commented; “Everyone likes salad, it’s nice and refreshing!”.

Karaoke fun
Last week some of our residents joined in for a karaoke afternoon.
Our ladies and gents thoroughly enjoyed singing and dancing to old time favourite tunes, using our karaoke microphone to really look the part!
Everyone had a great time together – such a fun way to socialise!
