International Chefs Day is celebrated on Thursday 20 October and to mark the occasion our residents and staff at The Old Downs Residential Care Home made their own quiche from scratch.
Our residents thoroughly enjoyed chopping the vegetables, grating the cheese, whisking the eggs and rolling out the pastry as part of the preparations, before their delicious creation was baked in the oven.
Later in the afternoon we thoroughly enjoyed eating our masterpiece. Delicious!
