On Friday 24 October, we proudly took part in Wear It Pink Day here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home to raise awareness and show our support for breast cancer research. Everyone is touched by cancer in some way, and it’s important for us to recognise days like this – to share thoughts and show solidarity.
Our pink-themed party was a real success! We went all out with pink fizz, pink snacks, pink tableware, pink hats – pink everything! Our dining room looked beautiful, filled with bright bunting and balloons, and our residents gathered to enjoy an afternoon of music, conversation and treats.
It was a truly lovely event that brought everyone together for an important cause.
