Last week, in preparation for Remembrance Day, a group of our residents at The Old Downs Residential Care Home joined in with a baking session together.
They enjoyed decorating their own cupcakes in the style of poppies, using fondant icing to great effect.
Everyone had a great time being creative – and enjoyed eating their cupcakes too!
Our lovely residents and staff joined in to mark Remembrance Day itself and at 11am we paid tribute to those who lost their lives with a two minute silence.
We welcomed talented singer Jasmine to our Home in the afternoon to perform a wonderful World War II show, full of popular tunes and nostalgia.
