Preparing for Spain
Over the last few days our residents at The Old Downs Residential Care Home have been busy preparing for our Spanish themed day.
We have been painting a canvas with iconic Spanish references and also creating bunting and various arts and crafts to prepare for the day.
We are looking forward to arriving in Spain on our virtual Cruise – it should be a very special day!
Enjoying the garden
On Tuesday 13 April we got busy in our garden and our ladies and gents really enjoyed digging in plants for our hanging baskets and planting herbs in our new raised garden trough.
We planted thyme, dill, parsley, chives, sage and lemon thyme.
Charlie said, “Our Chef will be pleased about it!”

John gets kitted out!
Our resident John loves doing jobs around our Home and garden, and this week he received his new work uniform to help out our Maintenance Team – smart overalls and boots.
John had a huge smile on his face and said, “Great gear!”
We think you look fantastic in them John, they’ll be no stopping you now!
