We held a special ‘Share a Heart’ Coffee Morning at The Old Downs Residential Care Home on Friday 17 July.
We’ve received a selection of beautiful handmade hearts by the Charity Silk Elephant, in support of those facing difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic. We decorated our tea table with the lovely hearts and our ladies loved feeling them and admiring the handiwork.
The hearts have been made with love from creative volunteers from all over the UK as part of the #GiftofaHeart campaign.
We were so delighted to receive our hearts and the special poem which accompanied them. Such a thoughtful gesture which we all very much appreciated.
