Valentines preparations
Last week our residents at The Old Downs Residential Care Home made paper love hearts and wrote expressions about love and the significance of love on them, in preparation for Valentine’s Day on 14 February.
Our residents found this very thought provoking and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Valentine’s party
Our team organised a fantastic Valentine’s party for our residents, featuring the lovely singer Kevin Walsh, who sang a selection of wonderful love songs.
Our residents enjoyed the party atmosphere and love was definitely in the air!!
They then prepared a wonderful afternoon tea for some of our residents’ husbands and wives – the day brought back many fond memories.
