We love a birthday celebration at The Old Downs Residential Care Home, and on the Tuesday 22 February it was our lovely resident Edna’s turn for a special day, when she turned 91 years young!
Edna had a visit from her family in the morning, when she received lots of beautiful cards and goodies, including some pretty flowers.
Later in the afternoon we organised a special tea party for her which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
A highlight was her magnificent birthday cake, covered in cream, chocolate sprinkles and fresh strawberries which she kindly shared with her friends.
