Church service
Last week we had our lovely Chaplin Elizabeth take a service for us here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home.
Our residents loved the singing and praying and received either a blessing or Holy Communion depending on what they wanted in the service.
Anniversary meal
We also hosted a special wedding anniversary dinner for our lovely resident Edwin and his wife, Maureen, who were celebrating a wonderful 66 years together.
When we asked them the secret for a long and happy marriage, they replied: “Love, kindness and patience“. What an example!
