On Thursday 1 February a number of our residents and colleagues at The Old Downs Residential Care Home joined in to celebrate Dignity Action Day, which aims to make sure people using care services are treated as individuals, given choice, control and a sense of purpose in their daily lives.
To mark the occasion, we had a pamper afternoon when our residents thoroughly enjoyed hand massages, manicures and some foot spa therapy, and socialising with one another. It was lovely to be able to treat our residents to some relaxation time to boost their sense of well-being.
They also enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and biscuits together – what a lovely afternoon!
