Diwali
On Wednesday 3 November, we celebrated Diwali (The Festival of Lights) here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home.
Some of our staff and residents dressed up in traditional Indian dresses and enjoyed henna style tattoos. We also enjoyed listening to Diwali music.
Our Recreation and Well-Being Manager Viv also joined in by having henna painting on her hand. Everyone had a great day and afternoon celebrating.

Guy Fawkes
We also celebrated Guy Fawkes night on Friday 5 November.Our residents created their own Guy and enjoyed colouring fireworks pictures.
For tea, our residents enjoyed traditional hot dogs and beer!
