Our residents at The Old Downs Residential Care Home recently enjoyed a brilliant afternoon as part of our popular Lads Club. With plenty of snacks, films, and a pint of beer in hand, it was the perfect way to spend some quality time together.
The group gathered in our cosy sensory lounge, where the atmosphere was relaxed and full of good humour. Having a dedicated men’s club is so important, as it gives our residents the chance to bond, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company in a way that feels special and social.
This time, the choice of entertainment was a classic Bond film, which went down an absolute treat. The excitement around it has inspired us to plan a Bond film afternoon in the future — an idea that was met with enthusiastic agreement from all. We will be sure to add it to our Recreation and Well-being planner, giving our residents even more to look forward to.
