St Patrick’s Day
On Thursday 17 of March we celebrated St Patrick’s Day here at the Old Downs Residential Care Home.
We decorated our Home with Irish bunting and in the afternoon we enjoyed a St Patrick’s Day party, with a selection of Guinness, Baileys and chocolate on offer.
Our residents thoroughly enjoyed dancing to Riverdance!
Fruit tasting session
On Saturday 19 March some of our residents joined in for a tropical fruit tasting afternoon as part of Nutrition and Hydration Week (14-20 March).
We had a variety of fruit to try, beautifully arranged, including pineapple, melon, watermelon, passion fruit, nectarines, oranges and kiwi. Something for everyone!
Our ladies and gents had a great time sampling their favourites. A tasty and nutritious way to keep hydrated!
