On Tuesday 1 February here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home, we celebrated Chinese New Year – the year of the Tiger.
In preparation for the day, our residents joined in for an arts and crafts session where we made our very own handsome tiger!
We all helped paint lots of paper orange and drew on the details of the tiger’s fur and smiling face!
Later in the day, our ladies and gents listened to some Chinese music whilst sampling some delicious Chinese food including sweet and sour chicken and rice, spring rolls, prawn crackers and of course fortune cookies!
