We all had such a lovely Easter weekend here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home.
On Easter Sunday, we spent the morning watching a film; we all needed a slower start to the morning after all the festivities we had in the run up. We watched ‘The Little Princess’, a 1939 film, and everyone loved it. It was the perfect way to start a bank holiday.
In the afternoon, it was time for the moment we had all been waiting for….Easter eggs! We set up an Easter-themed trolley with four different types of chocolate eggs on it. Our residents enjoyed picking which egg they wanted, with a pair of bunny ears! We had our own little Easter Bunny to give the eggs out, our lovely resident Ann, who spent lots of time describing the different eggs to all her friends, and then giving them out. After her work was done, Ann enjoyed her own Cadburys egg. Yum!
It was such a nice Easter Sunday, filled with chats, laughter, and lots of chocolate – happy Easter from all of us at The Old Downs!
