Time in the garden
Last week some of our residents joined in for gardening club here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home.
We enjoyed watering our beautiful plants and seeing how much our vegetable crop has grown. It was such a lovely afternoon in the sun, with plenty of smiles and fresh air!
Cheese and wine
On Sunday 4 September a group of our residents joined in for a cheese and wine tasting afternoon.
We served a variety of cheeses to try including edam, cheddar, apple smoke cheese, Wensleydale, blue stilton, camembert, garlic and herb soft cheese and Jarlsberg. Yum!
Our residents loved socialising with one another over a glass of wine and had a great time.
What a delicious way to spend an afternoon!
