Although we’ve been lucky to enjoy plenty of sunshine recently at The Old Downs Residential Care Home, our run of good weather had to end sometime – and the rain finally made an appearance! While our gardens certainly appreciated the downpour, our residents were less enthusiastic about staying indoors. But that didn’t dampen our spirits and we found plenty of ways to keep the fun going inside.
With music playing in the background, we set up our very own version of seated bowling. Instead of traditional pins, we stacked cups, grabbed some bean bags, and let the games begin! Our residents took turns competing in different rounds, ensuring everyone had a chance to join in the laughter and friendly competition.
The game was a big hit and brought lots of smiles all around – so much so that it’s now firmly on our list of go-to activities!
