Valentines treats
On Monday 14 February at The Old Downs Residential Care Home our residents and staff celebrated Valentine’s Day.
We started the day off by decorating our Home with beautiful bunting and heart decorations.
During the day, some of our ladies prepared strawberries dipped in white and milk chocolate, which later went down a treat with everyone!
In the afternoon our ladies and gents thoroughly enjoyed a party atmosphere of singing and dancing with singer Kevin Walsh, who sang a wonderful medley of songs for us all.
Knit and natter
Last week some of our ladies joined in for a ‘Knit and natter‘ session at our Home.
They really enjoyed their afternoon, knitting and socialising with each other over a cup of tea.
It’s great to see their knitting pieces coming along nicely!
