Last week on Good Friday our residents at The Old Downs Residential Care Home started making Easter cakes for our afternoon tea.
Our ladies couldn’t wait to get stuck in mixing all the ingredients together with chocolate to make the cakes. They thoroughly enjoyed the baking group, which is always a great way to chat and socialise. All our residents enjoyed their Easter cakes with afternoon tea.
Our ladies, gents and team members also thoroughly enjoyed hot cross buns with fresh cream and strawberry jam on Good Friday – a delicious Easter tradition which we all very much enjoyed.
What a wonderful way to start the Easter long weekend!
