Last week here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home we hosted two wonderful church services.
The week began with our Chaplin Reverend Elizabeth who is part of the Anna Chaplin team for the North West Kent area. Anna Chaplins are specially trained to minister to the elderly for their spiritual care. They give Holy Communion and follow the Church of England services.
Our second service was from the Pentecostal Church, Longfield, who are also volunteers. They gave us a different kind of service with more modern hymns and pieces from the Bible.
Our residents really enjoyed both services and we felt privileged to welcome Reverend Elizabeth and the church volunteers to our Home.
