International Fairy Day
On Thursday 24 June we marked International Fairy Day at The Old Downs Residential Care Home.
These tiny supernatural creatures have captivated myth and legend for generations. Today, stories are perpetuated throughout animated stories, miniature garden displays, and children’s books.
Our residents made some beautiful collages using fresh flowers and brightly coloured materials; they loved the different colours and textures of the photos.
World Cream Tea Day
We celebrated World Cream Tea Day on Friday 25 June, as let’s face it, who doesn’t love a nice cuppa and something sweet?!
Our residents enjoyed over 20 scones, filled with fruit, clotted cream and jam!
They went down a treat with a cup of traditional English tea and a glass of bubbly wine.
Everyone throughly enjoyed socialising with one another and listening to music.
