VE Day celebrations
We celebrated VE Day at The Old Downs Residential Care Home on Sunday 8 May when our residents and staff joined in to mark the occasion.
Our ladies and gents thoroughly enjoyed watching a VE Day concert on television and singing to old time favourites songs.
Later in the afternoon we served a special buffet with a variety of drinks.
A super day of socialising and reminiscing together.
Relaxation and pastimes
Over the last week our residents have also enjoyed a variety of relaxing activities; from engaging with photos, videos and music on interactiveMe, and enjoying dominoes together, to sitting in our garden with ice lollies taking in the lovely weather – perfect!
