On Friday 25 November a group of our residents joined in for baking session at The Old Downs Residential Care Home, when they made their own delicious mince tarts.
Everyone had lots of fun making them and the session brought back lots of fond memories of the good old days.
Later in the afternoon we all enjoyed our mince tarts with a lovely cup of tea.
Continuing the foodie theme, on Sunday we hosted a cheese and wine tasting afternoon – always a firm favourite with our ladies and gents!
We had a tempting cheese selection on offer, which included brie, cheddar, apple smoke cheddar, blue stilton, baby bell cheese and Jarlsberg.
Our residents thoroughly enjoyed sampling the different flavours of cheese…
…with a glass of wine in hand – and loved socialising with one another!
