At the beginning of June here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home we started to make crafts ready for our Derby Day celebrations.
We made horseshoes, horses, corsages and hats which encouraged our residents in their social skills and creative arts.
On Sunday 4 June we celebrated Derby Day together and our ladies and gents had fun watching the racing on television, with strawberries and cream, all dressed up in the wonderful hats and corsages that they had made. Perfect!
