A group of our residents at The Old Downs Residential Care Home had fun celebrating World Nutella Day together on Sunday 5 February – what a delicious calendar date!
World Nutella Day was started in February 2007 by the American blogger Sara Rosso to show her devotion to Nutella. She loved Nutella so much she felt it deserved a whole day of its own to be dedicated to it and it seems that a lot of other people agreed with her! Since this day was started, Nutella fans have come together all over the world to celebrate it by sharing their recipes, pictures and general adoration of it on social media and other online platforms.
To mark the occasion at our Home (which we have done for a few years now!), we had our own Nutella tea party. Our residents decorated cupcakes with Nutella and fresh strawberries, which were then enjoyed with a nice cup of tea. Delicious!
